Patricia Hawkins

Patricia L. Hawkins, nee Baker, age 96 of Palatine. Beloved wife of the late Howard Hawkins Sr. for 54 wonderful years. Devoted mother to Howard Hawkins Jr., Steven (Jackie) Hawkins, Pamela (Tim) Hargrove, Cynthia (Mark) Turf, and Deborah (Brad) Pukas. Cherished Grandmother to Steven, Nicole, Joshua, Bennett, Ian, Evan (Helen), Alec, Colleen, Brian, Laura, Megan, and Cameron. Adored great grandmother to Aaliyah and Emily. Preceded in death by parents Samuel and Mildred Baker, and sisters Joy Wenzlaff and Donna Hagy. Patricia was a registered nurse at Northwest Community hospital in the Labor and Delivery unit for over 20 years. She had the experience of helping to deliver her first grandchild, Ian. She enjoyed gardening, playing golf, and traveling with her husband. She was a big sports fan, following the Bulls, Cubs, and Bears. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by us all, including her dog Scruffy!

A visitation will held Wednesday September 8, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 5:30-8:00pm.A mass will be held at St. Thomas of Villanova Parish, 1201 E Anderson Dr, Palatine, IL Thursday, September 9, at 10:00am. Interment private.
