Modest “Margie” Billiot Revelle
WOODLAND, NC – Modest “Margie” Billiot Revelle, age 87, of West Main Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Margie was born on August 15, 1934 to Ourlie Billiot and Elvira Molinere Billiot in Point-aux-Chenes, Louisiana. Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering for meals on wheels, collecting glassware, and spending time with family and friends. Margie was a member of the United Houma Nation. She was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Revelle, Jr., brothers; Murphy, Willie, Roy, Pete, and Bobby; sister, Julianna; and granddaughter, Amanda.
Margie is survived by her children, Dale (Suzanne) Revelle, Darlene Yarbrough, Barry (Bonnie) Arcement, Eddie Revelle, and Jimmy Revelle; grandchildren, Holly, Crystal (Brandon), A J, Chad (Jessica), Tanya (Charlie), Teresa, Gina, Savannah, Cassie, and Cheyenne; great grandchildren, Victoriana, Rodney, Addison, Jaylynn, Avery, and Alex; great great grandchildren, DeMarcus and Chance.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2022, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, 205 NC Hwy 42 West, Ahoskie, NC, 27910.
A mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Saint Charles Barromeo Catholic Church, Ahoskie, NC, with Father Robert Schmid officiating. Burial will follow at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Conway, NC.
