Kimberly S. Schmohe

Kimberly S. Schmohe, 52, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home. She was born May 20, 1968, in Springfield, the daughter of Leonard and Sandra “Sandy” Stinnett Schmohe.

Survivors include her parents, Leonard and Sandra “Sandy” Schmohe of Springfield; partner, Charlene Thoburn of Springfield; sister, Angela “Angie” Timm (Kenny Carver) of Springfield; brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” Schmohe of Springfield; niece, Christina (Michael) O’Connor of Springfield; five nephews, Trevor (Kashmir) Timm of Connecticut, Justin Timm of Chicago, Dalton Timm (Gina Davis) of Springfield, Jacob Schmohe of Springfield, and Brayden Schmohe of Springfield.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kimberly was a resident of Springfield all of her life. She was of the Lutheran faith. Kimberly worked at Brookhills Golf Course and was a mail carrier for USPS. She loved animals, nature, crossword puzzles, and games. Kimberly’s greatest joy was her family and her dogs.

Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, April 16, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League, Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control or The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
