Jerry F. Pace

Jerry F. Pace, 78, of Saluda, NC went to his heavenly home on January 1, 2022. He was born on December 24, 1943 in Saluda to the late Kenneth F. Pace and Ruth Stewart Pace.

 

Jerry graduated from Saluda High School and worked at General Electric for 32 years where he developed lifelong friendships. He had a passion for helping his community through his church, as chief of Saluda Fire and Rescue, and also as an EMT-Intermediate with the Henderson County Emergency Medical Services. It brought him great joy to know that he was helping others.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Diane, two sons, Todd and wife Lynn Pace of Kernersville, Brad Pace of Hendersonville, granddaughters Madeline Pace of Durham and Morgan Messer and husband Aren of Hendersonville and great-grandson Warren Messer. He also leaves behind two sisters, Sandra Trow and Janice and husband Barry Emory, a brother, Lynn and wife Jackie Pace, and his loyal dog and little buddy Cooper. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry K. Pace.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Four Seasons Hospice Care of Flat Rock, NC. Services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, January 5.  Family will receive friends at 1:00 with service at 2:00. The family requests that masks be worn for the protection of everyone.
