Charles Thomas Anderson

Charles T. Anderson, 97, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on September 21, 2021, at the Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Charles was born to the late Mona (nee Stone) and Henry Allen Anderson in De Leon, Texas; he is also predeceased by his beloved wife, Pasty Ruth Anderson, to whom were married for seventy-five years and their daughter, Linda Anderson.

A WWII B-17 pilot, he retired at the Pentagon as a Colonel in the US Air Force, serving as a Military Assistant to the Dir. Of Transportation, Dept. of Defense.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Debra Anderson; grandchildren, Jason Fowlkes, Andrew Cheatham, and Kayce Cheatham; and great-grandchildren, Lucas and Amelia Fowlkes.

A memorial service will be held at ten o’ clock in the morning on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the Kirby Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Fondly referred to as “The Optimist”, Charles will be remembered for his good nature and dedication to duty. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Patsy and daughter, Linda, at Westminster Gardens in Greensboro, North Carolina.
