Brian N. Kuykendall

Brian N. Kuykendall, age 53 of Somonauk, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born on June 26, 1969 in Geneva, IL the son of Norman and Leona (Hermann) Kuykendall.

Brian was united in marriage on February 28, 2014 to Michele Sokolowski and they have spent the next nearly nine years happily together.  Mr. Kuykendall was a member of Harvest Chapel Church in Sandwich, IL. Brian was employed as a carpenter with Just In Time Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, & Remodeling in Sandwich, IL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Brian is survived by his wife, Michele Kuykendall of Somonauk, IL; his children, Rachelle Kuykendall of Ottawa, IL, Nathan Kuykendall of Marseilles, IL, Lindsey Kuykendall of Marseilles, IL; his grandchildren, Mya and Caralynn Martinez; his parents, Norman and Leona Kuykendall of Huntley, IL; his siblings, James (Barbara) Kuykendall of Harding, IL, Susan Marks of IL, Candice (Roger) Johns of Sandwich, IL, Michael (Annette) Kuykendall of IL, Deborah (Darryl) Lorenz of Elgin, IL, Bonnie (John) Hinkhouse of WI; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nicole and Patrick Sliger of Batavia, IL; and his former wife, the mother of his children, Jessica Miskell; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Harvest Chapel Church, 725 S. County Line Rd, Sandwich, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1275 S. County Line Rd, Sandwich, IL.
