Nevada Humane Society, Carson City’s Pet of the Week: Lily

Meet Lily, Nevada Humane Society’s Pet of the Week!

Looking to add some extra love and loyalty to your life? Meet Lily, an 11-year-old German Shepherd who’s all about cuddles, companionship, and cozy days by your side.

This sweet girl has had a bit of a bumpy ride after her previous owner’s passing, but she’s ready to start a new journey with a forever family who can help support her adjustment.

Lily spent most of her time indoors and adores being around people. While she’s still getting used to things like alone time and loud noises (fireworks and thunder make her a bit nervous), she’ll melt your heart with her gentle nature and warm personality.

Lily has been friendly and playful around kids and may do wonderfully in a family setting.

While she hasn’t interacted much with cats or other dogs, she’s tolerant and calm around strangers and may adjust well to new furry family members when using slow introductions.

Inside the home, Lily may bark a little when visitors arrive, but give her a moment, and she warms up quickly!

Health-wise, she’s managing a few senior dog needs, including joint issues (supported by supplements).

She’s also on medication for ear care, which her new family will need to continue. Regular vet check-ups are recommended as to keep her happy and healthy.

Lily’s dream life? Spending her golden years in a loving home where she can snuggle, relax, and bask in the joy of family.

She is residing at our Carson City campus, located at 549 Airport Way, and has a waived adoption fee as part of our commitment to finding our senior pets their forever family.

Come meet Lily today and see if she’s the missing piece in your life. She can’t wait to share her love with you!
