Bruce Philipps

BRUCE E. PHILIPPS, 68 of Wallace, MI passed away on Tuesday July 22, 2025 at the Luther Home in Marinette, WI. Bruce was born on November 8, 1956 to Theodore Jr. “Curly” and Magdalene “Maggie” Philipps. He was a 1974 graduate of Stephenson High School. A talented woodworker, Bruce worked for most of his life at Wallace Building Supply. An avid fisherman, hunter and trapper; his love of nature and the outdoors was well known. He cherished his friends and family and was always generous with his time and talents. Bruce enjoyed playing cards, throwing horseshoe and watching Brewers baseball and Packers football. His passing has left a void in our hearts, but we find peace in knowing that he is no longer trapped in his earthly body and is now with his heavenly family.

Bruce is survived by his daughters: Melissa Alloway of Escanaba, MI and Cindy (Brett Hermanson) Philipps of Marinette, WI; grandchildren: Austin, Lilee, Ryker and Kanon; great grandchild: Azula; sister: Tina (Leonard) Odea of Menominee, MI; special friend: Kathy Parrett of Marinette, WI; nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Curly and Maggie; brother: Steven; and son-in-law: Kenneth Alloway.

Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Tuesday July 29, 2025 from 4:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 6:00 pm with Deacon Steve Gretzinger officiating. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery.
