Thomas L. “Denny” Dennison

Thomas L. “Denny” Dennison 78, of Springfield, died at 6:30 am, February 22, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born March 17, 1944 in Williamsville, to Walter Leonard and Lucille Clark Dennison. He married Karen Ananias on November 25, 1967 and she survives.

Also surviving are two children V. Thomas (Marla) Dennison of Springfield and Heidi (Terry) Moats of Springfield; four grandchildren, Britany, Kyle, Jake and Logan; one sister Linda “Windy” (Ed) Bileck of Williamsville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Dennison and one nephew Jim Stewart.

Denny was a US Navy Veteran. He retired form the State of Illinois Department of Revenue after twenty-five years as a Tax Examiner.

He was an avid fisherman and St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed coaching baseball, hunting and trap shooting.

Visitation: 5 – 7 pm, Friday, March 3, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, March 3, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Kevin Torgerson officiating and where military honors will be conducted.

Inurnment will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
