Ruth A. Baynard

Ruth A. Baynard, 86 of Horse Shoe, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.  Ruth was a constant inspiration of grace, radiance, and strength.  She was the middle daughter of Sidney and Katherine Moore, raised in Fletcher, NC.

She married Paul Baynard in 1953, as a devoted Air Force wife, they traveled extensively and enjoyed seeing new places and sharing with their daughters sites across the United States and other countries.  Other family members traveled with them, seeing the states and even crossing the pond!

Many knew Ruth because of the Moore Family Singers.  With her sisters, Helen and Louise, and brothers Bill Dennis and Max, they sang at many churches in North Carolina, even venturing into South Carolina and Tennessee.  The Moore Family Singers sponsored the well-attended Singing by the Lake at Lake Julian in Skyland, as well as performing.  Ruth was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  She enjoyed singing in the choir.

Ruth was a devoted mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.  Her family was very important to her.  She was surrounded by her family as she went to meet her savior face to face.  We will see you in Heaven and what a glorious time we will have.  All is well with my soul…

Survived by husband Paul, daughters Beverly Hinson (Danny), Teresa Ayers (Jimmy, deceased), grandchildren Joshua Norris, Kristin Cooper (Micheal), great-grandchildren Dustin Norris, Teagan Cooper, sisters Louise Chapman (Jimmy), Helen Sosebee (Samuel, deceased), brothers William (Stella), Max (Jenny) and Dennis (Barbara), lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughter Vicki Norris and grandson Jeremiah Norris.

Visitation will be held at Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC on Sunday, May 23^rd from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 24^th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
