Robert “Bob” J. Obuchowski, age 75, of Chicago IL. Beloved husband to Elizabeth “Betty,” nee Iwanicki, for 52 wonderful years. Devoted father to Debra (Michael) Herman and Michael (Carrie Haller) Obuchowski. Cherished Grandpa to Nicholas and Josh. Dear brother to Regina “Cookie” (Jim) and Patricia “Pat” (Ernie). Fond brother-in-law to Stan (Jan) Iwanicki. Loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Bob is a former U.S Marine and recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He served as a Chicago Police Officer for 33 years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Bob cruised and traveled the world having many adventures with his best friend and travel partner, Betty. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network https://www.pancan.org A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago IL from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday May 20, at 10:30am. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
