Richard “Rich” Jay Wolfe, 53, of Galion, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Avita Health System-Galion Hospital.
Born February 4, 1968, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of George and Sharon (Hewitt) Wolfe. Rich worked for Urban Industries for 33 years. An adventurer, he enjoyed bass fishing, camping, fishing at the lake, golfing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family.
Rich is survived by his wife, Lisa Underwood Wolfe, whom he married on November 22, 1988; two children, Joshua Wolfe of Dublin and Jacob (Valerie) Wolfe of Mansfield; mother, Sharon Wolfe; two brothers, George Wolfe of Crestline and Bill Wolfe of Galion; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Jeff Underwood of Ontario; and his faithful and loving canine companion, Rocco. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wolfe; brother, Mike Wolfe; and in-laws, Larry and Connie Underwood.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Jack Kegley will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
