Remembering Carson City’s ‘Crazy Fox’ Master Barber Ricardo Romero

In Loving Memory of Ricardo Romero aka “Crazy Fox” Sept. 19, 1937 to Oct. 25, 2023. Known to many as “Crazy Fox” Ricardo Romero, an honorably discharged member of the armed forces, was a barber who mastered the profession for more than 60 years.

Working hard up til the age of 86, Crazy Fox’s passion for the barber craft stayed true until a diagnosis of cancer and doctor’s orders finally forced him to “throw in the towel” and stop working.

On Oct. 25, 2023 Ricardo’s battle with cancer came to an end, and the “master barber” passed away with his family by his side.

Crazy Fox’s legacy will remain preserved in our hearts, we will hold dear his wise words of guidance and the faint echo of his witty sense of humor. Ricardo will forever be missed and remebered by all who sat in his chair.

A memorial will be held at Crazy Fox Barbershop, located at 1208 N. Carson St. in Carson City on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 from 10am to 2pm.
