Ralph V. Laughery

Ralph V. Laughery, 89, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born December 13, 1932, in Springfield, to Tracy and Nadine Barnes Laughery, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by many dear friends.

Ralph worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at HSHS St. John’s Hospital for 45 years until his retirement.

He loved all sorts of animals and enjoyed spending time at the IL State Fair. He was also an avid photographer and had many beautiful pictures through the years and cameras to prove it.

He served in the United States Navy from 1957 – 1961.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Cindy Lash officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
