Nora Lee Kemp

Nora Lee Kemp, 82, of Springfield passed away at 9:27 pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022. She was born June 20, 1939 in Derry, LA to Jesse and Elnora (Dearborne) Dawson. She married John Kemp, Sr. and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, John Kemp, Jr. of Springfield; two daughters, Gloria David Kemp and Barbara Kemp; Sister Morris, Jessie Dee Dawson-Jefferson; brother, Lionel and Joseph Dawson; grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaelin, Elijah and Shane Kemp; two great grandchildren, Willow and Kaylee Kemp; a host of nieces and nephews and her dog, Jett.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Kendric Kemp and her parents.

Staab Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home in Natchiloches, LA are in charge of arrangements in Louisiana.

Burial will be at St. Simon Baptist Church Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA.
