Pearl J. Butler went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2021.

Pearl Jackson, born the seventh child to the union of Louis Jackson and Martha Howard on the 8th day of December in 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio. As a child she accepted Christ and always had a passion to help others. Pearl attended Central High School and graduated, while at Central she met her future husband Robert Butler, Jr.
Pearl and Robert were united in holy matrimony on the 18th day June in 1942, they were blessed with four children: Marise, Bobby (deceased), Diane and Jimmy Cash Butler.
Pearl and Robert were married for thirty-seven years and while married with children Pearl attended Jane Adams Nursing School. Pearl worked at the Veterans’ Hospital, Suburban Hospital and did several private duty nursing cases throughout the great Cleveland area. Everyone in her family of Jackson-Foxhall, Howard, Cephus and Butler loved to call on Pearl to assist with home medical assistance because they knew she loved to serve and help others.
Post marriage in the 1980’s, Pearl relocated to Los Angeles, California, and there she worked at the Airport and as a Public-School English teacher. When Pearl moved back to Cleveland, Ohio she still served with medical assistance, nannying, and assisting her loved one. Pearl’s hobbies included: reading her bible, traveling, bowling, and shopping, often time you see Pearl she would be in Pearls. Pearl’s overall greatest joy was helping the ones she loved.
Mother Pearl, Aunt Pearl, Grandma Pearl, Cousin Pearl and Friend Pearl will be greatly missed by all. Pearl spent her last days at Shaker Gardens Assisted Living Home where she was often visited by family. Pearl departed peacefully, the 25th day of September 2021. She leaves behind 3 children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extensive family. Pearl was loved by all and left all with the memories of her serving.
