Patrick Howard Stone

Patrick Howard Stone 43, of Springfield, died at 4:29 pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born May 30, 1979, in Springfield, to Brent H. and Kim Kelley Stone. He married Tara Weinert on October 8, 2011, and she survives.

Also surviving are two children, Lillian and Harry Stone; parents, Brent & Kim Stone of Girard; sister, Jen (Tony) Enrietta of Carlinville; father-in-law, Gerry (Bonnie) Weinert of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Trina (Duane Moore) Weinert of Springfield; sister-in-law, Nicole (Darren) Hackett of Chatham; brother-in-law, Mitch Weinert of Kentucky; aunt & uncle, Barry & Marcia Kelley of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews, Cash, Presley, Lennon, Madison, Kellan and Hunter and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry “Bud” and Nancy Kelley and Pauline Stone.

Stone was a 1997 graduate of Sacred Heart Griffin. He was a Stationary Engineer for the Secretary of State.

He was an Oklahoma Sooners Fan; an Eagle Scout and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #399.

Stone was self-less, even in death, by being an organ donor.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Jen Enrietta officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or Gift of Hope.
