Obituary: Yvonne Elizabeth Connery

Yvonne Connery, of Carson City, Nevada, transitioned peacefully on May 9th, 2023 at Carson Tahoe Hospital. She was in the presence of her loving granddaughter, Siovhan McEver.

“Bonnie”, as she was affectionately known, was born in Michigan on May 18th, 1935 to Hazel Hyde and John Ziegler. Bonnie will be remembered by her immense strength, generations of hard work in California’s service industry, a smile and personality that lit any room, and her eternal devotion to family and professional football.

Those left to cherish her memory include her granddaughter, Siovhan McEver, and great grandson, Kai Pieretti, of Carson City, Nevada; granddaughter, Marina Mancilla, of Carson City, Nevada; and her son, William McEver, of Gilroy, California.

Bonnie is also survived by 4 other grandchildren, Bill, Matt, and Leah McEver, and Briana Bell of Gilroy, California.
In honor of Bonnie, a Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on May 18th, 2023 from 2pm-5pm. The celebration will take place at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint in Carson City.
