Mary Stepp Osteen

Mary Alice Stepp Osteen, 89, of Hendersonville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  She was born in Hendersonville to the late Walter B. and Edna M. Stepp.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Allen Osteen.

Mary graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1950 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville.  She was a homemaker and loved working in her garden and working on her flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Nina O. Lowery and husband Rick, Monette (Punky) O. Trexler and husband Michael, both of Hendersonville; sons, Stephen A. Osteen and wife Karen, Gregory N. Osteen and wife Brenda, both of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Christopher A. Osteen, Brandy O. Tatterson, Neal Osteen, Adam Trexler, Brittany Trexler, Kasey Lowery, and step-granddaughter Natalie Outlaw; four great-grandchildren; and longtime friend Betty Barnette.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, at one o’clock in the afternoon at Shepherd Memorial Park with the Reverence Steve Scoggins Officiating.
