Mary Lindsay

Mary Lindsay, 68, of Mansfield, OH, passed away at HCA Northwest Hospital in Houston, TX on Friday, July 2, 2021.

The beloved daughter of Roosevelt and Dorothy (Thurmond) Coates, Mary was born on July 17, 1952 in Martin’s Ferry, Ohio. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother, and she was known for her genuine kindness and laughter, and her perseverance through all life handed her.

Mary leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Karissa (Lindsay) Rendon and Homero Rendon of Houston; her grandson Xavier; her sister, Rebecca Stope; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lurie F. Lindsay, Jr.; and her daughter, Christina Dixon.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Pastor Mark Cobb will officiate the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mary will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park in the Masonic Garden.
