Mark R. Stein

Mark R. Stein, age 72, of Hinckley, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. He was the son of Harry and Eunice (Ihnen) Stein.

Mark was united in marriage on June 21, 1969 to Lynne Robinson and they spent the next 52 years of their lives together. Mr. Stein was employed for 46 years with Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his wife, Lynne Stein of Hinckley, IL; his children, Nathan (Janelle) Stein of Rochelle, IL and Megan (Mark) Lyons of Sherwood, OR; his grandchildren, Sophia Stein, William Stein, Gunnar Lyons and Arya Lyons; his siblings, Judith Tuttle, Sandra Meyer, Susan Stein and Norman Stein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eunice Stein; his siblings, Peter Stein, Wayne Stein, Noelle Payne and Sally Stein.

Services will be private.

Mark was a voracious reader. Memorials may be directed to the Hinckley Public Library, referencing the new building fund, 100 Maple Street, Hinckley, IL 60520.
