Marjorie Theresa Loggins

Marjorie Theresa Loggins was born October 16, 1939 to David and Elnora Gray in Kona, Kentucky. She was the seventh of eleven children born to their union. Both parents and seven siblings preceded her in death: James Harvey Gray, David Gray Jr., Gerline Marie Freeman, William Otis Gray, Herman Amzie Gray, Herschel Alfonso Gray, and Marion Edward Gray. She is survived by her two sisters, Gloria Azerene Williams, Mary Jacqueline (Roger) McKenzie, and brother Lesley Nathaniel (Shirley) Gray.

Marjorie graduated as valedictorian of her class at Durham High School in Letcher County Kentucky.  After high school she moved to New York City for a brief time and then resided in Cleveland, Ohio as her long-time residence.

In 1982, Marjorie married Moses Loggins and they remained married until his passing in 2015. She retired from The Ohio Bell Telephone Company (known as AT&T) after 25 years of service. She and her husband Moses loved to travel to visit family and friends. She was a devoted reader, loved solving crossword puzzles, enjoyed playing Bingo, and other card games. She always read The Plain Dealer newspaper daily and afterwards completed 2 crossword puzzles.  Marjorie enjoyed listening to the Blues and her favorite artist Al Green. Also, Marjorie was avid trivia fan, with Jeopardy being her favorite tv show. Marjorie enjoyed watching world events unfold and discussing them with friends and family.  She was amazed by politics and the way our government functioned.

Marjorie moved from her home on East 114th street to Marymount Place in June of 2014.  During her stay she became very social and enjoyed participating in the activities such as Bingo and the various outings to different places around Cleveland.  She always loved fine dining and often would order lobster tail and pair it with a glass of wine.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life: Three children, Gene Antonio (Susan) Faulkner of Cleveland, Ohio; Glen (Angelene) Faulkner of Anchorage, Alaska; and her devoted daughter, Lisa (Charles) Ester, of Maple Heights, Ohio. She adored her (5) grandchildren:  Quintillian Loren Faulkner (deceased); Cassandra (Andrew) Williams of Huntersville, NC; Joel Smith of Cleveland, OH; Tommie Jamel (Rikki) Smith of Maple Heights, OH; Dominique Levon Faulkner of Oklahoma City, OK; and Tiara Nicole Light of Colorado Springs, CO. And her beloved Great Grand Children: Jordan, Makayla, Noelle, Lovely Lolita, Trae, Alivia, Drae, Christopher, and Taylor.  Marjorie is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends which includes a special friend of her and her late husband, Preston McCarroll.

Marjorie will be missed by many as she had a big heart, loving smile, and a big kiss on the cheek for us all.
