Linda Noreen DeFrates

Linda Noreen DeFrates, 72, of Springfield, died at 3:55 am, Friday, February 5, 2021 at SSM Health DePaul Medical Center in Bridgeton, MO. She was born May 13, 1948 in Springfield, IL to Howard C. and Ruth E. (Welch) Clark. She married Ralph DeFrates in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Alfie DeFrates (Abranda VonLanken) and Christopher (Christie) DeFrates, both of Springfield; five grandchildren, Porter, Easton, Levi, Nolan and Samantha; brother, Terry Clark of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews and canine companion, Jonah.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Clark.

She worked as a CNA. Linda was an animal lover. She enjoyed gardening, painting pictures, writing poetry and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
