Larry Lee Metzger, 81, of Cresco, formerly of Elgin, Iowa, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11th, surrounded by family.

Born on Oct. 2, 1942 in West Union, Iowa, to Ruben & Anna (Keller) Metzger. He attended Valley Community High School, Eglin, Iowa. He served 2 years in the Army and 4 years in the reserves. He worked various jobs over the years.

Larry is survived by his children Lane (Jean) Metzger, Elkader, Iowa, LaChelle Wilson, Lanete Clark & Lisa (Mitch) Doering, all of Monona, Iowa, Brother Steven Metzger, Garber, Iowa, brother-in-law Ed Curran, Dubuque, Iowa, sisters, Marene (Terry) Palmer, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kathy (George) Oldridge, Papillion, Neb., 4 grandchildren, Jesse, Heather, Logan and Ryan. Four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruann Curran, Marcia Butikofer, brother-in-law, Bill Butikofer, sister-in-law, Donna Metzger and niece Kristi Carner, and his pet cat, Merful.

No services will be held. Cremation was performed.
