Kelly Rippel

Kelly Ray Rippel, age 63, of Uhrichsville, died early Saturday, July 23, 2022, while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House following a period of declining health.

Born at Dover on January 21, 1959, Kelly was a son of the late Gene and June Carpenter Caswell.

Kelly quit High School to serve in the United States Navy.  After his service in the Navy, he studied to be an electrician and became a self-employed electrician and carpenter in the area for many years.  On September 20, 1985 he married the love of his life, Cindy (Meuhlen) Rippel.

Kelly fell in love with carpentry and was always proud of the woodworking items that he made.  He also loved to download music.  When inside he could be found watching car restoration shows on television.  His dream car was a 1957 Chevy.

In addition to his wife, Kelly will be deeply missed by his children, Maxi (Michael Myers) Rippel, and son, Zach Rippel both of Uhrichsville; his grandchildren, Jaggar Rippel and Chloe Damron; his sister, Christine (Rob) McDougald; brother, Ed (Jackie) Simpson; and special friend, Paula Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, Kelly was preceded in death by his sister, Charlie June; and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Devore.

In keeping with his wishes, The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.  A Celebration of Kelly’s life will be held at a later date.

Those wishing to do so may send memorial contributions to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
