Kathi Woelfel

Kathi Woelfel

Kathi Woelfel, beloved mother and grandmother, of Granbury, passed away on her birthday, February 18, 2023, at the age of 91.

A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held at the Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury, at a date still to be announced.

Kathi was born on February 18, 1932 in Germany to Karl and Martha Rohrmann.  On October 22, 1956, Kathi married the love of her life, Otto H. Woelfel.  Together as a young couple they explored all over Europe with his motorcycle and sidecar.  In 1958, at the age of 26, they moved from Germany to California, and started a new & everlasting adventure together.   After purchasing their first home in Walnut Creek, CA, they started their family….. having two children; Thomas and Heidi.  Throughout Kathi’s life, she always enjoyed sewing, swimming, fishing, boating, & flower gardening.  Kathi & Otto lead a full, active life….  Always busy / always on the go.  She is remembered for her love of life, but most of all, Kathi will be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Kathi is survived by her children; Thomas & wife Lisa Woelfel, of California, and her grandchildren; Daniel and Morgan Woelfel.  Heidi & husband Ronnie Livingston of Granbury, TX.  Nephew, John & wife Susan O’Reilly of Placerville, CA.

In addition to her parents, Kathi was preceded in death by her beloved husband Otto, and her sister Leni.

The family greatly appreciates the loving care Aviva (Quail Park) Memory Care Staff & Caregivers gave to Kathi this past year.  They are true angels.
