Judith “Judy” K. Osborn, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Brosh Chapel. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Swisher.
Judith was born May 5, 1943, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Isham and Vera (Richardson) Pottorff. She graduated from Davis County High School, class of 1961. She was married to John Osland for over twenty-five years, and they had three children together. Judy worked as the City Clerk for the City of Swisher, United States Postal Service for over 25 years, and as a Realtor until her retirement. She was united in marriage to Darrell Osborn in April of 1999.
“Grandma Honey” enjoyed golfing, biking, dancing, singing, baking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Judy is survived by her husband Darrell, her children Brent (Gina) Osland, Alicia (Shawn) Whittle, Angela (Tim) Evans; six grandchildren Brylee Osland, Olivia Osland, Josef Osland, Jace Whittle, Will Evans, and John Evans; her brother Ronald (Betty) Pottorff; stepson Eric Osborn; brothers-in-law Mike (Susan) Osborn and Kieth (Deb) Osborn; sisters-in-law Charlotte DeCoster and Sharon Clark; her niece Sherri (Mike) Guitar; a great-niece Cami and great-nephew Clay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Roseanna in infancy, a nephew Kelly Pottorff, a sister-in-law Mildred Osborn, and brothers-in-law Don DeCoster and Michael Clark.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer Association in her name.
