John K. Wake, Jr.

John K. Wake, Jr., 47, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home. He was born April 15, 1974, in Springfield, the son of John K. and Debra Nicks Wake, Sr. He married Sarah Allen on April 28, 2006 and she survives.

Also surviving are his parents, John K. and Debra Wake, Sr. of Sherman; three children, John Wake III, Kaitlin Wake and Noah Wake, all of Springfield; one grandchild, Sophia Anderson; two sisters, Meri-Lynn Tedrick of Athens and Samantha Wake of Modesto; and several nieces and nephews.

John belonged to Eastview Baptist Church. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was a construction worker and contractor for J.K. Wake Company. John was a US Navy veteran.

Private services will be held with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or Wounded Warrior Project.
