Jean was born on

Jan. 21, 1936, to Emil and Marjorie (Rawson) Stodola in Linn County. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids. Jean worked for Citywide Cleaners for over 35 years.

Jean was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and served as a secretary and library assistant. She faithfully studied her Bible every day.

She loved to play Scrabble with friends, work on word search puzzles and color in coloring books. As an avid reader, she sometimes would read a book a day. She also enjoyed watching wrestling matches on TV.

Jean was a dedicated friend to many, particularly single moms and would babysit their kids when she got off work, helping where she could. Later in life, she was a faithful caregiver to her mother after her father’s death. Lifelong friend Jean Britcher and her family always thought of her as part of their family.
