Guido William “Bill” Ranalletta

Guido William “Bill” Ranalletta, 95, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born May 24, 1925, in Springfield, to Guido and Esther (Bartolomucci) Ranalletta. He married Amelia J. Coliff at St. Aloysius Church on August 20, 1949, and she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mary (David) Carter of Winston-Salem, NC, Christina Ranalletta of Hammond, IN and Janice Ranalletta of Springfield; six grandchildren, David and Mark Carter, Amy and Lori Ranalletta, Katie (John) Wells and Gina Braham (Brian Mullner); six great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Staab of Springfield; one brother, John (Ruth) Ranalletta of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Victor, Ralph and Andrew Ranalletta; three sisters, Olga Dambacher, Catherine “Dolly” Keeley and Madeline Fallucca; his son, Mark Ranalletta and son-in-law, Gary Braham.

Bill was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII. He worked at Fiat Allis for 31 years, retiring in 1983 as Superintendent of Maintenance. Bill enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation: 10:00 am – 11:15 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Aloysius Church.

Funeral Mass: 11:30 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Aloysius Church with Father Clinton P. Honkomp, O.P. officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
