George E. Blade

George E. Blade was born October 6, 1946, in Mason, Tennessee. The son of Mr. Cleveland Blade and Mrs. Blumie Blade. He received his formal education in Mason, Tennessee at Griffin Elementary School system. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Union Hill Baptist Church in Mason, Tennessee under the Pastor of the late Rev. McGee. He later relocated his residence to Cleveland, OH in 1962 with his older siblings. He had a great joy for music, walking, and going fishing with his family.

He was employed at Manner’s Big Boy Restaurant where he worked faithfully until he suffered a mental breakdown. After treatment he was transported to a special group home, under Mrs. Brydine Colman (who he called his second mother) in Akron, OH.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Leeann Stringer, Alice Burton (George Treadwell), Annie L. Tucker, one brother Robert Blade (Leona), all of Cleveland, OH, special nephew Glenn Blade and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
