Elden L. Madden

Elden L. Madden, age 71 of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He was born on June 27, 1950 in Aurora, IL the son of Edwin and Fern (Blodgett) Madden.

Elden was united in marriage on June 29, 1979 to Linda Crews Semetis and they spent the next 42 happily years together. Mr. Madden was employed as a welder and pipefitter, for many years, until his retirement. He enjoyed working on his vintage cars and attending car shows with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Elden is survived by his wife, Linda Madden of Yorkville, IL; his children, Jennifer (Curt) Hartman of Huntley, IL, and Jeremy Madden of Kansas; his step-children, Rick Semetis of Gulfport, MS, and Lora Chapman of Somonauk, IL; his eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his brother, Kelly (Helen) Madden of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Fern Madden; his brother, Timothy Madden; his sister, Nancy; and his step-son David Semetis.

Interment will be private.
