Edmund P. Dempsey

Edmund P. “Bud” Dempsey, age 75 of Naperville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 2, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 2, 1947 in Chicago, IL the son of Edmund E. and Ruby (Pierson) Dempsey.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bud is survived by his sons, Michael (Katherine) Dempsey of Yorkville, IL and Thomas (Jennifer) Dempsey of Haines City, FL; his seven grandchildren; Colleen, Mary Katherine, Caitlin, Kyle, Christopher, Kevin and Caleb. His two great-grandchildren; Benjamin and Callie as well as his sister, Lorraine Dempsey of Yorkville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Ruby Dempsey; his daughter, Michelle Dempsey; as well as two brothers and two sisters.

A Funeral Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

Friends may visit from 9:00 am until the Hour of Service on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in Bud’s name to the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
