Dennis L. Lacher

Dennis L. Lacher, age 67, of New Philadelphia died at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Dennis was born on July 18, 1954, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to the late Michael and Mary Lacher.  He married Lorraine K. Sheldon on August 20, 1977 in San Diego, California.

He retired as a Senior Chief from the Navy after 22 years of service.  He continued his career and retired from Wayne-Dalton.

He was an avid golfer and had many friends in the golf community.

Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Lacher; one daughter, Roxanne (Oscar) Fish; three grandsons, Matthew, Leo, and Declan; three brothers, Len (Mary) Lacher, Curt (Sandy) Lacher, and Donald Lacher; sister-in-law, Laura; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Michael Lacher; mother, Mary Lacher; sister Betty (Don) Feist; and brothers, Willard Lacher and Michael Lacher.

A memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia, located adjacent to the funeral home on October 9, 2021 between 2 and 4 p.m.
