David Eugene Jones

David Eugene “Gene” Jones, 83, of Hendersonville passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021.

He was the son of the late J. Olen Jones and Sophia Rhodes Jones.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry Jones and Ray Jones; sister Nancy Robinson; and a nephew, Robert O. Jones.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Othella Jones, and one niece, Janice Jones.  Gene was a talented and skilled master woodworker.  He enjoyed making a variety of many beautiful pieces and sharing them with family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at two o’clock p.m. at Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Brad Knox and Reverend Allen Martin Officiating.
