Carol Lynn Cochie

Carol Lynn Cochie, 83, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side following a two year battle with cancer. Carol was born June 30, 1938 in Tiffin, Ohio, the daughter of Ward and Carmen (Swander) Creeger.

A homemaker, she loved making sure her family was taken care of. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of Polk United Church of Christ and the Ladies Lunch Brunch. Carol was a former member of the United Commercial Travelers Club.

In her early years, Carol and her husband John, owned a restaurant in Bloomville, Ohio called the Bloomville Restaurant.

She is survived by her children, Pam (Mike) Graham of Venus, PA, John (Allen) Cochie III of Philadelphia, PA, Kevin (Sarah) Cochie of Orlando, FL, Mike (Bev) Cochie of Clovis, NM, Cara (Greg) Schuster of Ashland, OH, James (Cindy) Cochie of Chapel Hill, NC and Steve (Jinny) Cochie of Tiffin, OH; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cochie and a granddaughter, Meredith Cochie.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
