Brenda Schomer

Brenda Kaye Schomers, 74, of Bluffdale, Texas, passed away early on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Harbor Lakes, in Granbury.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8, Wednesday evening, February 9, at the Wiley Funeral Chapel, 400 Highway 377 East in Granbury.  Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, February 10, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park.

Brenda was born on May 2, 1947, in Clarksville, Texas to William and Lula Strickland.  On October 10, 1964, Brenda married James R. Schomers and together had two children, Melissa and Michael.  She enjoyed traveling, doing crafts, and playing cards with her friends.   Most of all, Brenda cherished family gatherings and time spent with her family – particularly her children, grandchildren, and great–grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her husband, James; her children, Melissa and husband Chris Davis and Michael and wife Rachelle Schomers; grandchildren, Kylee Kaye and husband Austin Parker, James Miles and wife Adrianna Thetford, Ashton Schomers, Cody Schomers,and Haylee Doty; great-grandchildren, Averlee, Payslee, Rixton, and Adi; and by her siblings, Kim Strickland, Ken Strickland, and Lynn Strickland.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.
