Betty L. Jameson
Betty Lynn Jameson (Wheeler) was born to the parents of Raymond and Thelma R. Wheeler on December 7th, 1955. She was the oldest of seven children.
Betty attended Cleveland Public School system and graduated from John F. Kennedy high school in 1974.
Shortly after graduation, she became employed at Zayre’s and it is there she would meet her husband, Dwight L. Jameson (proceeded in death). To their blessed union three beautiful children were born: Daysha Lenise, Dwight Lee “Ace”, and Daniel Lewis.
Her time at Zayre’s ended and she decided to go back to school. She attended National Education Center and received a certification as a Medical Assistant. Upon completion of her externship at Metrohealth Clement Center, she was offered a job as a Patient Service Representative and continued this career until her retirement in December of 2018.
Betty gained a host of wonderful and beautiful friends throughout her work career.
When she was out and about someone always recognized her.
WOMAN OF GOD
All throughout her life, Betty was a servant of GOD. She imparted the love of Christ into her children.
She was truly Saved, Sanctified, Holy Ghost filled, and Fire baptized!
Deaconess Sis. Betty was an active church member at Pilgrim Community Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Thelma R. Wheeler. As a member, Sis. Betty wore many hats such as Worship leader, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School coordinator, and many other roles.
There was nothing that she couldn’t or wouldn’t do for the church.
She truly loved the lord.
And those that know her, KNEW she was always on fire for GOD.
Last but certainly not least, Betty LOVED her grandchildren. MeMa is what they call her. Boys night, girls night, trips to the park and store; she enjoyed spending time with them. It was not uncommon to see her out and about with at least one of her beloved grand babies in tow.
Betty will surely be missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind to treasure her memories: Parents, Raymond and Thelma R. Wheeler. Siblings: Raymond Wheeler (proceeded in death), Brenda Lee Wheeler, Cynthia McGee, Richard Wheeler, Kennedy Wheeler, and Kevin Wheeler (Gayle). Sister-in-law: Jeanette Fletcher. Her children: Daysha Jameson (Sherron Copeland), Dwight “Ace” Jameson (Elizabeth Williams), and Daniel Jameson.
Nine grandchildren: Davion Campbell, Daniel Jameson, Jr., Lenise Jameson, Erica Jameson, Dwight “AJ” Jameson, Jr., Kendra Jameson, Jameson Copeland, Emerie Jameson, and Jalen Copeland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
