Betsy Jane Pipkin Peters would like to let you know that her work here is done as of November 3, 2025. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge signing bonus, a reunion with family, friends and pets that she has not seen in some time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, advocating and caring about others. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious including her Diet Pepsi, sub-sandwiches, chocolate and ice cream treats that have no ounces to gain.

We want to let Betsy know that she did a great job and wish her a safe, pain-free journey. We will remember her smile, her strong will, her energy, her love for life, friends and family, but also students, colleagues and clients, many of whom became friends. She lived by her motto “Be brave, Crave justice and Work for the greater good.”

Betsy made a difference in the lives of many: her parents, Sherry and Larry Pipkin, along with her husband Kevin Peters and her cats Dexter, Desi, and Baby as well as her dog Toto who are waiting to welcome her to this new assignment.

Those providing witness that Betsy has impacted them include her “daughter” Holly (Nick and her children), numerous co-workers including Nicole C., Jackie S., Tammy S., Paul S., Jan W., and abundance of classmates and special friends including Dawn R., Lesa L., Gary O., Norm H., Jane W., Tina (sister-in-law), along with her siblings: Amy, Devin, Chris, and her precious nieces and nephews.

Betsy made a huge impact on her fellow residents (Sarah, Cel, etc.) and staff members (Tristan, Mary Kay, etc.) at The Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon along with Olivia, Amanda, etc. from Hospice.

Betsy would appreciate any type of memorial in her name be made to the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon’s Activities Department as she so appreciated all the activities she had participated in.

In typical Betsy fashion, she requested no farewell party; but asks that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone less fortunate in her name.
