Barbara Ann Frankie

Barbara Ann Frankie, 61, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born August 29, 1961 in Hammond, IN, to Robert Gordon and Evelyn Keys Hasek. She married E. Stephen Frankie on September 10, 1981 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2016.

Survivors include one daughter, Theresa F. (Bryan) Pickford of Springfield; one son, Jeffrey Frankie of Taylorville; one grandson, Oliver Stephen Pickford; one step-grandson, Parker Pickford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Bob Hasek.

Barbara was a homemaker for her family and also worked for Judy’s Hallmark.

She was a soccer coach for St. Cabrini School for five years and a room mother for 10 years. She was also a Girl Scout leader and President of Bergen Ladies Golf League and Vice President for Pasfield Ladies Golf League.

Memorial Gathering: 11 am – 1 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 1 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Cindy Lash officiating. Private inurnment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
