Antonio De Jesus Genel, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 11, 2021. Beloved husband of Ofelia. Loving dad to Victor (Marie Vic), Cecilia (Paul) Villanueva, Shirley (Jay) Syfu and Marissa (Zelig) Arceta. Cherished Grandpa “Lolo” to Rosalynn, Lily, Tyler, Chloe, Leila, Quinton, Cara, Lauren, Sean, Damen, Desmond and Calliope. One of Antonio’s greatest joys was being a Grandfather and he would spend all his free time with them. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12 from 5-8pm and on Friday, August 13 from 3-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago IL 60646. A Mass of the Resurrection will held on Saturday, August 14 at 10am at St. Martha Catholic Church, 8523 Georgiana Ave, Morton Grove, IL 60053. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
