Anthony A. Henderson

Anthony “Tony” Allen Henderson, 79, of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. He was born in Carter County, Kentucky on September 16, 1942 to the late Granville and Daisy (Frazier) Henderson and later moved in his 20’s.

Tony retired from AK Steel where he was a dedicated employee for many years. A dedicated Christian at heart, church was Tony’s passion and enjoyed singing and preaching. He loved serving the Lord and was a minister for Freewill Baptist Churches. He pastored a church in St. Petersburg, Florida. He and his wife retired to Palmetto, FL. Tony loved golfing with family, fishing and being outdoors. He never sat around and was always ready to take on an adventure.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, M. Faye Henderson; children, Mark (Amy) Henderson, Kimberly Henderson and Tom Henderson; nine grandchildren, Allison Henderson, Amber Bass, Samuel Henderson, Tyler Henderson, Kaitie Henderson, Hayley Henderson, Aaron Henderson, Megan Henderson and Becca Henderson; great-grandchild, Micah and one great-granddaughter, Willow, on the way; brother, Ronald Henderson; sister, Audrey Coe; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Henderson, James Henderson and Roger Henderson; and three sisters, Reba Jean Henderson, Loretta Taylor and Sharon Wyatt.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, Ohio 44906. A funeral service will follow beginning at 2:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family requests for all who attend, that masks are to be worn at all times to both services.
