Alice K. Merryman

Alice K. Merryman, 93, of Dover, passed away February 18, 2022 in Schoenbrunn Healthcare following a period of declining health.

Born in Copley, Ohio on October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy (Duncan) Kendle.

Alice was a passionate teacher, having taught 5th grade students for the majority of her career at Newbury Local Schools. Her faith was nurtured in New Mercies Community Church in Geauga County. Alice was a volunteer at Geauga Park District for 25 years.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Monti Finn of Dover, Charlene Lovano of Bedford and Dorothy Kostrab of Chardon; grandchildren, Adam (Brandi) Finn, Andy Finn, Nicolas (Chrisy), Nathan, and Neven Lovano, and Jessica Kostrab; and great-grandchildren Autumn Shaye, Drew Charles, Kylee Elizabeth, Nicholas James II, and Lex.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Charles Layfayette Merryman.

Private inurnment will be held in Claridon Center Cemetery at a later date.
