With deepest sorrow, we announce that Alex Adrian Di Guido, our most beloved son, brother, father, family member and best friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the age of 29 in Aurora, IL. He was born on April 3, 1992 in Oak Lawn, IL the son of Daniel and Karen (Nichols) Di Guido.  Alex was a Yorkville High School Graduate. He was most recently a Beverage Program Director for MORA On The River in Aurora, IL. This was a position he worked passionately to obtain through years of devoted experience with many of Chicago’s top locations to include The Aviary, Billy Sunday, Machine, La Josie, Mordecai, and The Madison.

Those who knew Alex knew that he was kind hearted, talented, and passionate. Not only was he a friend to everyone, but was truly a best friend. Whenever he was working on a project he was fully engulfed in it, giving it all he had to bring the project to its full potential. Alex loved nature, his friends, his family, but above all his son, Adrian.  He appreciated good food and even better cocktails. He enjoyed creating new beverages, taking into consideration every ingredient that went into it. He had an ear for music and was free spirited with an enormous heart. Alex loved to laugh and enjoyed being around others.

Alex is survived by and will be missed everyday by his son, Adrian Di Guido of Cortland, IL; his father, Daniel (Amy) Di Guido of Yorkville, IL; his mother, Karen Nichols of Paris, TN; his paternal grandfather, John Di Guido of Campton Hills, IL; his maternal grandmother, Amalia Regalado of Hardin, KY; his brother, Dennis (Alyssa) Di Guido of Genoa, IL; his aunt Kathy Phillips of Paris, TN; his nephew, Declan; his niece, Leedy; his step sisters, Madeline (Alex) Henderson, Morgan Sleezer, and Monica Sleezer; his godfather, Greg Dennin of Sandwich, IL; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol Di Guido and his great uncle Adrian Regalado.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Stevan Saunders, officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until the Hour of Service on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
