Loving Memory of William R. Criscuolo, “The Duke”
October 4, 1957 – May 6, 2025
William R. Criscuolo, also known as “The Duke,” was born on October 4, 1957, in New Haven, Connecticut. On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and memories that will forever endure.
Bill was the beloved son of Michael Criscuolo and Charlotte (Malboeuf) Criscuolo. He is survived by his cherished family: his daughter Josselyn Salafia (Criscuolo) and her husband Mark Salafia, his treasured grandson Hunter Salafia, and his son Iann Criscuolo. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings Camille Criscuolo (Hill), Paul (Dody) Criscuolo, and Jeannie Criscuolo, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his generosity.
Bill had a deep love for life and found joy in the simple yet profound pleasures of music, fly fishing, and sports. He devoted many years to coaching his daughter’s soccer team and his son Iann’s baseball team, leaving an indelible mark on young athletes through his guidance and encouragement. Recently, he found joy in working on pitching and hitting with his grandson Hunter, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
The beach was one of Bill’s favorite places, a sanctuary where he found peace and happiness. Whether walking along the shore, listening to the waves, or enjoying the company of loved ones, the beach held a special place in his heart.
Known for his handiness and willingness to help others, Bill could always be counted on to lend a hand with any project or task. His kind heart endeared him to everyone who knew him.
In honor of Bill’s incredible life, a celebration will be held this summer. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date. Out of respect for his wishes, services will remain private.
May we carry forward the legacy of love, kindness, and strength that Bill shared with us all. Rest in peace, —you will be forever in our hearts.
