William Barnett

William Glenn Barnett born July 24, 1940, in Paducah, KY. Passed away in Nashville, TN May 15,2025 at the age of 84. Born to Ray and Lula Barnett (Halstenberg).

Glenn and former wife Ramona Barnett (Holland) had two children, Raymond (Leslie) Barnett and Elizabeth (Brad) Taylor. He was a proud Grandpa to three amazing grandchildren: Grace and Gavin Taylor and Olivia Barnett.

Glenn was Valedictorian of his high school class of Joppa High School. He received a Bachelor of Science at Murray State in Elementary Education. After Graduation, he taught for several years at multiple local Elementary schools, eventually rising to the position of Principal. His mind for Mathematics and his kindness is cherished by his former students. But Glenn’s first love was farming. He left teaching to care for his land and his cattle. He valued hard work and loved the land as much as he loved his family.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Lula Barnett (Halstenberg).

Glenn’s wishes were to have a private family Graveside service at Anderson Cemetery.
