Roger Slack

Roger Dale Slack, 76, of Ohley passed away May 24, 2025 at Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

He was a retired coal miner for U.S. Steel, member of the Church of Jesus Christ and loved spending time with his great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ralph and Macel Chambers Slack; brothers, Ralph and Paul Slack and sister, Kathy Williams.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Kay Slack; sons, Tony Slack (April) of Belle, Timothy Slack of Sissonville; sister, Linda Burton (Marton) of Chelyan; grandchildren, Joseph H. Slack, Beth McCarthy and great-grandchildren, Silas Rhodes, Aubrey Rhodes, Ava Slack, Jaxson Slack and Willow Slack.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle. In keeping with Roger’s request, his cremation wishes will be honored prior to the memorial service.
