Velma Sena

Velma Barbara Sena passed away on Thursday May 15, 2025 surrounded by family at home at the age of 91. She was born in Sao Paio, Portugal, has been a Walnut Creek resident for the past 20 years and lived previously in Moraga. Velma was a parishioner of St. John Vianney church in Walnut Creek and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, singing and listening to music. Her beloved husband, Manuel Sena, passed away in 2011. She is survived by her loving sons David Sena and Daniel Sena; dear step-son Marlin Sena; dear grandchildren Zachary, Laura, Ali, Deanna and Danny; and her dear great grandchildren Lily, Robbie, Roman and Rio.

There will be a visitation at Hull’s Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave, Walnut Creek on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 beginning at 4pm followed by a vigil at 6pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held to celebrate Velma’s life at St. John Vianney Church, 1650 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 commencing at 10am. Private entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
