Touvanita (Toni) Le Fevre
Touvanita (Toni) Le Fevre peacefully passed from this earthly realm into the hands of God on March 1, 2025. She did so in the home she loved and where she shared happy moments with her husband Ronald, daughter Lisa, and son-in-law Sean. Toni succumbed to recent medical conditions and to the effects of a massive stroke suffered many years ago. At her passing, she was cared for by Lisa, Sean, Ron, and caregivers.
Toni was born into a Catholic family in Kermanshah, Iran on November 18,1945. Toni came to the United States to further her education and to establish a medical career. She first worked in a hospital near Hartford, Connecticut. While there she met Ron who was in the same hospital being treated for a serious skiing accident.
While growing up, Ron’s favorite book was “1001 Arabian Nights,” a collection of mid-eastern stories which traces its origins back to Ancient Persia and Ancient India. Toni’s ancestry was also anchored in the region in ancient Assyria. Were that not enough, Toni was simply beautiful beyond words. Ron had unequivocally found the love of his life. Through his persistence Toni was convinced that she also had found the love of her life. Toni and Ron were married on August 2, 1969. Two people and two cultures came together in perfect harmony.
That harmony included Toni’s family, who were talented musicians and dedicated humanitarians. Toni could play the piano by ear. Her father, Paulus, was a composer, conductor, and painter. He also conducted a church choir in Tehran, Iran. Her mother was widely known as an advocate for women’s rights under the rule of the former Shah of Iran.
Like her mother and father, Toni treasured helping her fellow human beings. She worked for more than 25 years as a certified operating room surgical technician, first at an East Coast hospital and then, until her retirement, at a Kaiser hospital in San Rafael, Ca. Along the way, Toni became a proud naturalized United States citizen on June 6, 1975.
Toni is also survived by her sister, Marganita. Marganita lives with her husband just outside of Zurich. Marganita’s family includes two adult children (whom Toni loved very much), a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild.
All who knew Toni, lived with her, or worked with her, will miss her terribly as she brought the light of love and playfulness of life wherever she went. She will continue to be loved without end.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, 1000 Cambridge Street, Novato on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Home, 650 Bugeia Lane, Novato.
