Non-compliant sex offender arrested in Dayton traffic stop

On March 1, 2025 Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Western Command Patrol Area and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Task Force conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle on US-50 near Retail Drive in Dayton, Nev.
Upon contacting the driver, identified as 34-year-old Dayton resident Quincy Lee Grubenman, deputies discovered Grubenman was a registered sex offender who was out of compliance with his registration requirements.
Grubenman was arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on one felony count of failing to register/violating registration requirements.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Task Force is committed to ensuring that all registered sex offenders in Lyon County comply with their legal obligations. The Task Force conducts routine compliance checks to verify registration adherence, reinforcing its dedication to public safety.
